CHIGASAKI STYLE**MY BROMPTON!!
by: Naoki Sakai

On a scorching hot summer day, the beach is fairly empty, as one would expect on a Monday.  The holiday weekend is coming up.  I’ll be here on Saturday and Sunday, if you need English help finding a road, cross or foldie.  This is my Brompton, a special edition British model, in White, Red and Blue, photographed this morning.  It has a number of Ridea products and Schwalbe One tires, a Fabric Cell saddle, in addition to a Chris King Patriot Grip Nut and Ergon grips, in stock.  I also have a Knog bell.  Bright and beautiful ring in an awesome simple design!!

I liked the Schwalbe One look.  They’re available at 8800 yen +TAX each.  The yellow sidewalls are awesome, and have a nice presence on my Brompton.

I put on a bunch of Ridea Products, of which we carry many in the store, here at Y’s Road Chigasaki, and have a catalog to view all the different Ridea products.  I just put on a rear mud guard roller at 4100 yen +TAX.  I’ve put on a carrier block, Easy Wheels, bracket for the wheels, hinge clamp assembly, seat post clamp and a bottle cage adapter, all viewable in these photos.  The costs run from 9000 yen to 14,600 yen +TAX for each part.   They come in a multitude of colors to give the Brompton a custom look.

The Chris King Patriot was a special order from the states. We do not carry them in stock.  It took a full year to come in, but it’s a pretty sharp looking grip nut set!  My saddle is a blue Fabric Cell, actually made for road bikes, but I’m using it on my Brompton.  Very original look!  It sells for 9500 yen +TAX.  We have it in a green color in stock.  The Knog bell sells for 4620 yen +TAX also in stock.

Come see our bicycles and the ocean views from our deck, overlooking Southern Beach.  We are open from 11:00-19:00 on weekdays and 10:00-19:00 on weekends. We are closed on Tuesday’s.  Have a great day!! 😀
