CHIGASAKI STYLE**Cannondale System Six for speed!!

Y’s Road Chigasaki has a new Cannondale System Six on display.  It’s a size 47(about 165 cm fit) and is a truly fast aero style bicycle, new in 2019 to the Cannondale lineup.

The general look is aero, with thicker frame, slightly heavier than the SuperSix Evo, with sleek aerodynamic line viewed from the front.  It is a bicycle that Cannondale designed with speed in mind, but with a bit more ride ability and versatility of usual aero bikes, and closer to road type comfort and handling.  While the frame and fork are noticeably aerodynamic and it is fast, Cannondale designed the system six to feel more like a ‘normal’ road bike, delivering a similar feel on the road with aero bike advantages.

           

 

    

It is a very fast aero style bicycle, faster than the Super Six, but does employ what the Cannondale engineers aimed for, which is a balance of speed, comfort and handling.  While the System Six is unmistakably stiff, the ride is firm, as opposed to bone shattering, the handling is good and steering is precise.  While it is heavier than a Super Six, it is not impossible on hill climbs, making it the visionary bicycle intended to be.

 

It is equipped with Ultegra derailleurs, 105 chain and cassette, Cannondale SpideRing crankset with Vision Trimax stem and Vision Metron 4D Flat handlebars. It has a Prologo Dimension saddle, with Fulcrum rims, hubs and spokes and Vittoria Rubino Pro speed tires.
