CHIGASAKI STYLE**New 2020 Cannondale CAAD 13

Cannondale’s aluminum road bike the CAAD series has had a complete change over in its new CAAD 13 series.   The all new Cannondale CAAD 13, the latest in a long line of aluminum road bikes from the US company that identified itself as a superior aluminum bicycle designer.  Cannondale says the redesigned bike is faster, lighter and more comfortable than the CAAD 12.  The CAAD 13 is aero designed.

 

 

The CAAD 13 emulates the tube profiles and design language of the 2020 SuperSix Evo.  The downtube has a truncated aero profile, to decrease drag.  Cannondale says it is a 30% reduction in drag over the previous CAAD 12.

 

 

       

 

 

The dropped seat stays help to improve comfort by increasing the mount of bending force through the seat tube and seat post.  A new seat tube curves around the rear wheel and hides an internal seat clamp underneath the top tube and the Knot 27 carbon seat post is take straight from the Evo.

 

 

There’s an all new carbon fiber fork design specifically for the CAAD 13.  A choice of rim or disc brakes are available, the rim brakes direct mounted.   There is full internal cable routing.   The tires are 28 mm helping to comfort the ride. The models shown are Shimano 105 equipped.  Cannondale says the CAAD 13 is focused on elements that improve the ride, namely drag reduction, comfort and ride ranging capability while not increasing the weight.
