Entering the second season as sponsor for Pinarello, Team Ineos again fields a strong, if not stronger team heading into the 2020 season.

Egan Bernal, the defending champion of the Tour de France has publicly stated he would like to ride the Giro D’Italia. The Tour de France runs less than a month after the finish of the Giro.  It would be a very tight timeline, and winning both hasn’t been done since Marco Pantani in 1998. 

 

 

 

Soon, Team Ineos will gather in Mallorca for its first winter training camp, where Geraint Thomas, Chris Froome and newly signed Richard Carapaz, the 2019 Giro winner, will have a say in how each rider can compete on a team with goals for the individual and Team Ineos.   It would seem a very difficult star laden priority decision, but all riders have been known as good team players.  Does seniority take precedent with Froome, likely back from injury and missing the 2019 Tour de France, being the elder statesman of the group?  We shall see, Team Ineos is again amazingly good.  Froome has recently said the 2020 Tour de France course is the most difficult in recent memory, with some hard climbs. 2020 should be extremely exciting for the Grand tours and the Tokyo Olympics!!   Here at Y’s Road Chigasaki, we have Pinarello frames and assembled bicycles, including a Dogma F12 frame!  Come see it and all our road bikes and products.
