CHIGASAKI STYLE**Brompton to Y’s Road Chigasaki!!

This is my Brompton ride to Y’s Road Chigasaki!  The Brompton is a six geared model with straight bar, and was bought a couple of years ago as a special Great Britain edition, indicated by the white, blue and red colors.  It’s a fun look.   The Brompton is known for its efficient and compact folding, along with a nice ride, for medium distances.  I’ve known people who have ridden long distances, as well.  It’s a versatile bicycle.

 

 

 

 

I have Bontrager Flare rear and head lights.  These are very small, compact lights, which are very strong, long lasting, and bright!!  They look fine on the Brompton.  I also use a simple Popeye lock, of which we have in stock, at Y’s Road Chigasaki on the Shonan Coast, at Southern Beach.  It is a very easy to use lock for quick stops at conbini’s.  I don’t use the lock when leaving my bicycles in a location for a long time.  In fact, I don’t ride my road or Brompton bikes at places like a train station, I have an old bicycle I use, for those purposes.

 

 

 

 

I use a Kabuto Flair helmet.  The lightest helmet in our store, and very comfortable.  I would recommend Flair to anyone!!  I also wear a Cinelli cap, under my helmet, and put on a Krog 100 lumen Quokka run light on available at Y’s Road Chigasaki, as well.  It is a very strong headlamp, that aids viewing at night, and does a wonderful job of showing up on reflectors brightly.  I put my bill down on my cap, as the light tends to filter into my glasses, and then it is very difficult to see, as the contrast causes black out.  I would recommend the bill of a cap to block the light from reflecting in glasses.
